Piccadilly's lungs can breathe again!

The fencing around the grass in Piccadilly Gardens
has been taken down in time for the bank holiday weekend, following six weeks of work to improve the lawns ready for the summer.  The gardens were re-turfed with a special, hardwearing grass

Councillor Pat Karney, Manchester City Council’s city centre spokesperson said:

“It’s good to see Piccadilly Gardens so lush and green for the start of the summer. We’re fortunate to have this friendly and inviting green oasis in the centre of the city.”

The verdant plot has been reopened just in time for the bank holiday weekend, for everyone to enjoy!
